LG polls: TMO suspended for not paying staff members
The official further said that the TMO did not pay the dues despite receiving funds

Secretary local governments Punjab on Saturday suspended Town Municipal Officer, Rawal Town, Mir Akmal, reportedly for not giving paying staff members who performed duties during the recent local bodies election.
According to an informed official of Rawal Town, the secretary had suspended the TMO for not providing salaries on time.
The official said that the government employees who performed their duties during the local elections had complained to the district election office in Rawalpindi against non-payment of the dues.
After receiving the complaint from the election commission, the secretary local government held an inquiry that revealed that the dues had not been paid.
The official further said that the TMO did not pay the dues despite receiving funds. Mir Akmal was appointed TMO two and a half years ago. The suspended TMO could not be contacted for his comments.
