ISLAMABAD:
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will present his stance on opposition allegations against him during his speech in parliament on Monday.

Speaking to a news channel, he said some opposition parties are trying to mislead the nation through lies. He added that the prime minister will also announce talks with the opposition in parliament.

To a question, he said the Supreme Court has given some guidelines for formation of terms of references (ToRs). He added that as far as inquiry into the allegations was concerned, there was no delay on the part of the government.

Referring to the formation of commission of inquiry for investigation into rigging in the 2013 elections, he said that a section of the opposition did not agree on the commission formation till they got tired after sit-in outside the parliament. "That very section of the opposition has once again levelled new allegations," he said.

Talking about the PK-8 by-elections in a separate statement released earlier, Rashid said the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa through their votes had expressed confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. He added that the result of the poll showed masses have rejected Imran Khan's politics of propaganda.
