Greece deports 53 Pakistanis
500 Pakistanis languishing in Turkish detention centre

Some 53 illegal Pakistani migrants arrived at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) in Islamabad after being deported from Greece. Around 500 Pakistanis are currently detained in Turkey and awaiting processing of their deportation papers.
The deportees arrived aboard private airline, EK-612, on Thursday morning. After scrutinising their travel documents, they were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The fresh arrival of deportees from Greece is part of deportation of illegal migrants from Europe.
According to FIA, 43 of the deportees were shifted to Gujranwala, five to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and five to Islamabad. Officials added that these migrants had entered Greece illegally and that they will be handled as per the FIA’s standard operating procedures.
Pakistanis detained in Turkey
According to Ansar Burney Trust (ABT), as many as 500 Pakistani immigrants, who were expelled from Greece, are currently languishing at a deportation centre in Kayseri Merkez, Turkey.
Burney, in a plea to Turkish authorities, said that these immigrants have not been provided basic necessities like food and water.
