Dhaka hanging: AJK parties denounce Nizami’s execution
Atique said that Nizami’s hanging shows that Sheikh Hasina is trying to eliminate the well-wishers of Islamabad
MUZAFFARABAD:
An All Parties Conference (APC) held at the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister House on Thursday condemned the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Bangladesh former ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami.
The APC appealed the government of Pakistan to raise the issue of the judicial murder of Nizami in the UN so as to put pressure on Sheikh Hasina’s government to stop the hanging of religious party leaders.
“The Bangladesh government has hanged the Jamaat leader to please India which is unacceptable to us,” said ex-PM of AJK Sardar Attique while briefing the media after the APC.
Atique said that Nizami’s hanging shows that Sheikh Hasina is trying to eliminate the well-wishers of Islamabad in Dhaka.
AJK PM Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, AJK JI Ameer Abdur Rashid Turabi, PTI Secretary General Khawaja Farooq, MQM parliamentary leader Tahir Khokhar, PML-N assembly member Iftikhar Gilani and the representatives of other religious and political parties were present in the APC.
