Healthier kids: Planning Commission, Nestlé sign MoU

The MoU will enable the government and Nestlé to share expertise and resources

ISLAMABAD: The Planning Commission (PC) and Nestlé have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the purpose of improving children’s health in Pakistan.

The MoU will enable the government and Nestlé to share expertise and resources, as well as develop a strong working relationship to eradicate challenges that Pakistani children currently face, including malnutrition and stunted growth.

It is expected that the collaboration will address the issues of water and food security mentioned in the Pakistan Vision 2025 document, which is also aligned with the United for Healthier Kids (U4HK) movement worldwide.

Planning Commission Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar and Nestlé Pakistan Head of Corporate Affairs Waqar Ahmad signed the MoU in the presence of

Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, Planning Commission Deputy Chairperson Nadeem Javaid, Chief Economist Dr Mubarik Ali, Nestlé Managing Director Bruno Olierhoek, and Head of Marketing Samra Maqbool were present on the occasion.
