Imran Khan told rulers on Tuesday to lead the country towards prosperity and development through honestly and not only by building roads and bridges, saying he had put Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the path to progress.

"Nawaz Sharif needs to understand nations do not prosper or developed by only constructing bridges and roads, but by honest and just leaders," Imran said while addressing a rally in Peshawar on Monday.

"We are going to build and improve hospitals and educational institutes in the province to improve the conditions while also working to depoliticise police further."

Taking aim at his opponents over claims that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government could be toppled, Imran said they have votes and mandate of the people whose loyalties could not be bought.

"I challenge you prime minister to form a similar anti-corruption body that we are bringing in the K-P if you are innocent."

The PTI chairman also hinted at a full-fledged but quick tussle with the government in the coming days, saying he "would like to invite the premier to a Twenty 20 match."


He said time was not far when he will correct Punjab Police, referring to a possibility of his rule in the federal government.

Regarding the killing of a girl by a mob in Abbottabad, Imran said he was embarrassed that the incident occurred and hoped the culprits will be brought to justice.

Imran also announced to visit Bannu on Wednesday to address another political gathering to further his campaign against corruption.

A scuffle was also witnessed between PTI workers and police amid firing and use of batons between the two prior to party chairman's address.

PM Nawaz forms judicial commission to probe Panama Papers

Following the Panama Papers leaks, a massive leak of 11.5 million tax documents on April 3 exposing secret offshore dealings of world leaders and celebrities, the premier asked the Supreme Court to form a judicial commission to probe the allegations of offshore wealth.

The ruling party and the opposition also came at loggerheads on the terms of reference with the former contending that these were not announced after due consultation.

Recently, both the PML-N and PTI have remained busy in organising to garner public support for their respective stances to curb corruption and steer the country towards development.
