Local government representatives boycotted Minister for Public Health Engineering Shah Farman’s speech and shouted slogans against him at Chief Minister House on Sunday, saying he has failed to account for their needs.
A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member told The Express Tribune Chief Minister Pervez Khattak convened a meeting of lawmakers and local government representatives to finalise preparations for upcoming by-elections on PK-8 and PTI chief Imran Khan’s rally on Monday (today).
“However, when Khattak finished his speech, local government representatives shouted slogans against PTI MPA and minister for public health engineering during his speech.
According to the PTI member, the representatives said Shah Farman did not account for needs of the workers and seldom meets them.
PTI’s provincial leadership is all geared up for Imran’s rally in the city.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday, PTI provincial coordinator Fazal Muhammad Khan said preparations for the jalsa in Khazana have been completed and 20,000 chairs were placed at
the venue.
