Speaking to The Express Tribune, Faqirabad ASP Wasim Riaz said Nadia had initially shifted back to her father’s house in Taru Jabba, Nowshera after her divorce.

“Her family’s rivals repeatedly said Nadia’s husband had divorced her due to her bad character,” the ASP said. “Nadia had moved to Peshawar two months ago. She had started living in a rented house.”

Element of mystery

According to Riaz, an FIR had been registered on the complaint of her ex-husband Atlas Khan.  “There are a few things in the case that remain a mystery,” he said. “For instance, her three children, who also lived with her, were taken away by her brother a few days back.”
