Whoddunit: Man killed over buffalo theft dispute

Police took the body into its custody and have registered an FIR

FAISALABAD:
A young man was shot dead in a dispute over a stolen buffalo.

A Saddar police spokesman said 22-year-old Mustansar Umar’s buffalo had been stolen from his village in Chak 240-RB a few days ago.

He said the man suspected that Nasrullah and Sunny, residents of the same neighbourhood, had stolen it.

The spokesman said village elders had been called to settle the dispute on Saturday. He said during the meeting, a fight broke out between Sunny and Umar.

He said Sunny and his accomplices opened fire at Mustansar. The police spokesman said the man died on the way to the hospital.
