Elected councillors in Bannu have threatened to resign if their demands are not met. This was stated by village councillors and nazims during a meeting on Saturday. They said the provincial government and bureaucracy have deliberately deprived elected councillors of their rights. They said officers of district management group (DMG) and the minister of local government had not released their funds.
