Day 2: Shabbir, Imdad lead Bahria Town golf championship
Amy Quin, Saima Ijaz win the ladies 18-hole final
Shabbir Iqbal and Imdad Hussien were tied in lead on the second day of the sixth Chairman Bahria Town Open Golf Championship 2016 in Rawalpindi on Friday.
The two golfers were joint leaders in the professional category with scores of 70 at the Bahria Garden city - Golf & country club Rawalpindi and Pine Golf Club - Bahria Golf City Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Amy Quin won the ladies 18-hole final with a score of 83. Tahira Nazir finished as the runner-up in the grass category, after she managed a score of 86.
In the net category, Saima Ijaz scored 68 to beat Noorul Sabah, who finished five points behind with a score of 73.
In the junior professionals category, Shehbaz Masih won with a score of 148. Nasir Masih and M Khalid finished as the runners-up with scores of 151.
Baber Khokar was leading the amateurs-grass category with a score of 74. He was followed by Ghazanfar Mehmood and Ishfaq Lone with scores of 76.
In the amateurs-net category, Maj Arif had a one point lead with a score of 66. Baber Khoar and Ishfaq Lone were right behind him with scores of 67.
Today, professionals and senior amateurs will be playing in the main category with the final round scheduled to be played on Sunday May 8.
