Botched Robbery Man attacked with acid by hitchhiker

The incident took place on Jinnah Avenue near Centaurus Mall on April 25, but was only reported to the police on May 3

A man was attacked with acid by a man posing as a hitchhiker in a botched robbery bid.



The police said that the unidentified suspect attacked the complainant, Sajjad Khan, with acid, which caused burn injuries across his face, shoulders and chest. The incident took place on Jinnah Avenue near Centaurus Mall on April 25, but was only reported to the police on May 3.


The investigation officer said the police were looking for the suspect, who was described as being between 20 and 25 years of age. An acid attack case has been registered against the unidentified suspect. The offense is non-bailable.
