Estranged: Man seeks case against wife, in-laws
Petitioner Muhammad Sadiq said that his wife used to beat up their three children
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sought comments from the Shahdara SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking the registration of a case against his wife and in-laws for threatening him. Petitioner Muhammad Sadiq said that his wife used to beat up their three children. “I have often asked my wife not to thrash the children. A few weeks ago, I had an altercation with her when she once again beat up the children. She then went to her parents’ home and has not returned. She has now threatened me with dire consequences,” he said. Sadiq said that he had requested police to register a complaint against his wife. However, he said, they had not accepted his request. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against his wife and her parents.
