One piece three ways: Natasha Kamal

We ask three fashionistas to put together an outfit using the same item from a designer’s collection

While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. We ask three fashionistas to put together an outfit using the same item from a designer’s collection, according to their style and taste!

The ‘Savannah Cape‘ is a statement separate from Natasha Kamal’s SS16 runway collection ‘Luxxotica’. It captures a relaxed take on tailoring, ideal for creating a layered look; it is also a perfect all-season lightweight cover up. When teamed with a metal accent self-tie belt, it makes for a statement look.  Tuck it, drape it, wrap it over a pair of jeans — it’s a versatile, easy-to-wear, staple piece.

My go-to summer look is a minimalist approach towards boho-chic. I wore the olive green cape with white flared chiffon pants and paired it with a beige bustier, also by Natasha Kamal.  I am a firm believer in “less is more”, so I chose to wear hoop earrings and rings to bring in a gold accent. I kept my makeup simple with some eyeliner and mascara. Lastly I finished the look with flats from Soma to round up this fashion-forward, comfy look.

My signature style is classic, but every once in a while I like to take risks, and that is exactly what I did with the cape! To complete my look, I wore a contrasting, nude, knee-length shift and tailored pants. When it comes to makeup, I am something of a minimalist, so I opted for a natural look, with a dash of my go-to electric blue eyeliner. This will be my look for the next lunch out!

I paired the Savannah cape with my TopShop skinny jeans and gladiator heels. I shortened, wrapped and converted Natasha’s chic cape into a blouse, which I could easily dress up or down by changing just one thing — my shoes! I paired my fuss-free outfit with chic, white, band-strap slippers and kept my hair wavy, with minimal makeup.
