2. During his farewell speech, Obama made a plethora of jokes, keeping his audience entertained. He referred to the fact that during the end of his term, focus has been shifted away from him in the past few months. He even quipped that Prince George meeting him in his pajamas was proof of the lack of interest people have towards him now.
Reflecting on the moment during his speech, he suggested light-heartedly that the young royal's attire held much broader significance.
He quipped that being greeted by George in his checked pyjamas and monogrammed bathrobe was equivalent to Republican leaders no longer answering his phone calls.
"It's not just Congress. Even some foreign leaders they have been looking ahead, anticipating my departure," he said.
"Last week Prince George showed up to our meeting in his bath robe. That was a slap in the face. A clear breach of protocol."

3. Obama couldn't help but bring up Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in his speech. Predicting his loss to Hilary Clinton, Obama said, "Next year, this time someone else will be standing here in this very spot, and its anyone's guess who she will be."
He didn't stop there, however. In an even more blunt manner, Obama exclaimed, "You know I gotta talk about Trump!... I am a little hurt that he is not here tonight. We had so much fun the last time."

4. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who has claimed he doesn’t own a tuxedo, kept it casual at the annual black tie event by wearing a navy business suit and tie. At the dinner, President Obama poked fun at Sanders’ during his speech.
“Bernie you look like a million bucks, or to put in terms you’ll understand, 37,000 donations of $27 each.”

5. The epitome of swagger, President Obama ended his last White House Correspondents' Dinner address by dropping the mic -- literally. Holding two fingers to his lips, he picked up his mic, then let it dramatically drop to the ground. “With that, I have just two more words to say: Obama out," he said.
