ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tariq Masood Yasin, announced that Rescue-15 and Islamabad Traffic Police help line would be merged, according to a spokesman for police on Friday. The step would be taken to improve the quality of police service, according to a press release. The IGP had also ordered police stations across the capital to register all pending cases without any delay. It said that the directive immediately resulted in an increase in the registration of the FIRs, which had been piling up before the new IGP’s appointment.
