Ghazi murder case: Musharraf takes back application

He had challenged the issuance of is noon-bailable arrest warrants before IHC.

ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court on Thursday returned an application filed by former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf challenging non-bailable arrest warrants issued against him in Abdul Rasheed murder case.

Justice Aamer Farooq returned the application after Musharraf’s counsel Malik Tahir Mehmood informed the court that a fresh application seeking permanent exemption has been filed before the relevant court and he wished to take back the application from the IHC.

The court previously had directed the counsel to present arguments over maintainability of the application.

Musharraf had challenged the issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants against him by a subordinate court before the IHC.
