DI KHAN:
The government and NGOs have neglected journalists from the tribal belt who have been affected by the growing scourge of militancy.
Adam said the journalism and mass communication department at University of Peshawar had also initiated media projects along with NGOs. “These projects have also been in vain,” he said. The TUJ chairperson added a trauma centre was recently launched at UoP. However, he maintained that journalists from the tribal belt have not benefited from the initiative.

The government and NGOs have neglected journalists from the tribal belt who have been affected by the growing scourge of militancy.
Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) Chairperson Said Adam Khan shared these views during a news conference in DI Khan on Wednesday.
According to Adam, a large number of media projects were initiated after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
“But tribal journalists have not benefited from them as these projects were not properly handled,” he said.

The TUJ chairperson added a trauma centre was recently launched at UoP. However, he maintained that journalists from the tribal belt have not benefited from the initiative.
