Waste management: Private companies to clean up designated areas
Lahore Waste Management Company hands over union councils to private sector companies for efficient management.
LAHORE:
The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has handed over selected union councils to private sector waste management companies for efficient waste management.
Waste Busters has been given the contract for Gulshan-i-Ravi and Township. The residents have been provided with garbage bags for disposing of waste instead of throwing it randomly in open areas.
Specially designed rickshaws have been deputed in each area which will go door to door and collect garbage daily from every house.
