2012 GYARI AVALANCHE: UNMOGIP chief lays wreath for victims
UNMOGIP is one of the oldest UN mission established in 1948 to report cease-fire violations along Line of Control
ISLAMABAD:
Chief of United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) Maj-Gen Delali Johnson Sakyi on Monday visited Gyari sector in Siachin. The UNMOGIP chief laid wreath at Gyari shahuda monument during his visit. On April 7, 2012 over 120 soldiers of Pakistan army besides civilians had lost their lives when an avalanche struck their base camp in the area. UNMOGIP is one of the oldest UN mission established in 1948 to report cease-fire violations along Line of Control and working boundary.
