Upgradation: Teachers protest against government
The teachers said the government had earlier agreed to meet their demands and instructed them to end their sit-in

Teachers in the tribal areas have threatened to boycott classes in schools and colleges if their demand for upgradation was not met. A group of teachers protested outside Jamrud Press Club on Monday morning and shouted slogans against the FATA Secretariat and Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON). At least 30,000 teachers threatened the SAFRON ministry and FATA Secretariat with protests in Islamabad, saying they will continue to boycott classes till the notification of their upgradation is issued. The teachers said the government had earlier agreed to meet their demands and instructed them to end their 10-day sit-in.
