FAISALABAD: Chief Traffic Officer Arif Shahbaz Khan said on Monday that all records of the City Traffic Police (CTP), including the challan system, would soon be digitised. He was presiding over a meeting in this regard. The CTO said that necessary steps had been taken to streamline the traffic police’s records. He said departmental records, the traffic ticketing system and leave records of traffic wardens would be computerised over the next few weeks. He said the system of issuing driving licences had been digitised. “It has proved very useful for people for seeking timely information about the procedure of getting driving license and the fees involved,” he said. Information about traffic police was also available on social media and the website – www.ctpfsd.gov.pk, he said. He said information about how to obtain a driving licence was also available on www.dlims.punjab.gov.pk. “Traffic police have also set up a helpline, 1915, to receive complaints about traffic problems in the city.”
