KARACHI:

Two suspected murderers escaped from the city courts premises after having their bail before arrest rejected by a district and sessions judge.

The two suspects, Imran and Asif, had approached the court of District East sessions judge seeking bail, said a court staffer. Both have been accused of committing murder.

The suspects contended that they have been falsely implicated in the case and were ready to face the charges, the staffer added. The prosecution opposed, however, the plea and argued that there was sufficient evidence against the suspects for their involvement in the case, he said.

The judge, after hearing the arguments, observed that the prima facie suspects seem to be involved and bail could not be granted at this stage. Upon learning that their bail had been rejected, the suspects fled from the court while the police associated with the case was present there.
