LAHORE:

“The government has great respect for lawyers. It is committed to solving their problems,” Governor Rafiq Rajwana said on Saturday.

He was speaking to a delegation of District Bar Association, Rawalpindi, headed by its president Shaukat Rauf Siddiqui.

Rajwana said lawyers had rendered great sacrifices for the supremacy of the Constitution, and strengthening of democracy. He said Operation Zarb-i-Azb had helped restore peace in the country. The country, he said, was now on its way to prosperity.

The governor said lawyers held the key to the provision of justice to the citizens.

Siddiqui, District Bar Association General Secretary Sardar Bilal Qayyum and other delegation members apprised the governor of problems faced by lawyers at district courts.
