Busted: Suspect held, explosives seized

ISLAMABAD: Law enforcement agencies on Saturday arrested a suspect and seized explosives from his possession during a raid at a hideout located on the outskirts of Islamabad. Acting on information, rangers and police officials conducted a joint search operation in the villages of Pirsohawa, Talhar and Gokina, situated at the foothills of the Margallas, and arrested the suspect identified as Waqas. After an initial interrogation, the suspect disclosed the location of 25 detonators, a 12-bore rifle and 356 bullets, which the law enforcement officials seized. The suspect has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation, officials said.
