Red carpet round-up Premiere of ‘Hijrat’
Zaman and Butt did not disappoint (entirely) at the premiere of their film, held in Karachi
Pakistani director Farooq Mengal’s latest film Hijrat is all the rage this month. Produced under the banner of FM Productions, the romantic drama features actors Asad Zaman and Rabia Butt in the lead role. And what’s more, the duo looks great together! Channeling an effortlessly cool panache, both Zaman and Butt did not disappoint (entirely) at the premiere of their film, held in Karachi on Thursday.
Rabia Butt
Embodying her inner desi chick, Butt certainly made an impact and quite a positive one at that! The supermodel donned an ethnic kameez that boasted of heavy embroidery and intricate stitch work. The all-black ensemble comprised translucent sleeves that gave an edge to the otherwise simple outfit. The model-turned-actor rounded off her appearance with a pair of peep-toe heels which were also black. One aspect that screamed out loud was… the ensemble was boring! A subtle glint of some colour somewhere, or maybe a more voluminous hairstyle, would’ve fared better on our fashion radar.
Asad Zaman
Also a professional model, Zaman ditched his usual off-the-cuff runway style to radiate a more sophisticated vibe. Personifying absolute class, Asad was garbed right in a well-fitted noir suit comprising of tapered dress pants and a crispy and snug blazer — all tying immaculately well his skinny black tie. Staying true to his fashion roots, he accessorised his definitive look with a classic Hermes belt that wholly stood out! As for his hair, he aced the slicked back hairstyle like a boss.
