An additional district and sessions judge directed the Islampura SHO on Friday to record statement of a petitioner seeking a case against a man for alleged blasphemy. Faisal Iqbal submitted that he had found a man, Ahsan*, disgracing Holy Quran on a Facebook page. He said Ahsan had also used derogatory remarks against the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in a video. He requested court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Ahsan. The name has been changed to protect identity.
