Family spat: 21-year-old commits suicide

A young man is said to have committed suicide in Abbottabad said the police on Thursday. According to the Cantonment police, 21-year-old Malik Kashif who was a BEd student from Mohallah Usmania Upper Kehal argued with his mother on Thursday morning. He went into his bedroom and after two hours when his mother realised he had been missing, she went to check on him. She found Kashif hanging from the ceiling fan. Police and doctors said he used a telephone cable. Three days ago, another young man, 20-year-old Mehtab, who was working at a CNG filling station near Mohallah Arambagh, attempted to kill himself. He shot himself in the chest using a 30-bore pistol. Mehtab was still under treatment at Ayub Teaching Hospital till the filing of this report.
