Aaqib Javed threatens to pull out of head coach race
The former right-arm medium-fast bowler was one of the frontrunners to replace Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis who resigned after a dismal show in the Asia Cup and ICC World T20.
However, the 43-year-old refused to apply for the position claiming that the selection committee for the coach of the Pakistan cricket team, which is comprised of former greats Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja, has already made up their mind to hire a foreign coach for the national team.
