Two women were murdered in two incidents in Jhal Chakian and Bhalwal police precincts. Police said Haq Nawaz of Chak 34 NB had frequently quarrelled with his wife Noureen Bibi. He gave her poison mixed in a soft drink on Sunday night. Separately, Ilyas of Sultanpura, allegedly killed his daughter Rukhsana.
