Overcharging: RTA to crackdown on transporters

On instructions of its secretary, the Regional Transport Authority Rawalpindi has started a move against transporters involved in overcharging and not displaying fare list appropriately. RTA Secretary Khalid Yameen Satti said a meagre fine of Rs100 to Rs500 was being imposed on violators. He said the authority had received numerous complaints from the public regarding overcharging on routes including Dhamial Camp to Saddar, Sadiqabad to Raja Bazaar and Pirwadahi to Raja Bazaar.
