Suicide: Teenager ends life
The family refused to lodge a police complaint in the matter
LAHORE:
A teenage girl committed suicide on Saturday by jumping from a 7th storey window of a hotel. Police said the 17-year-old had been staying at the hotel with her parents and a sister for two days. They said some witnesses’ statements suggested that the teenager had ended her life over a quarrel with her parents. Police said the family belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan where her father was a physician. Their visit to Lahore had been sponsored by a pharmaceutical company, they added. The deceased had been a first-year student at a Government Degree College in her home district. The body was handed over to the family after completion of paperwork. The family refused to lodge a police complaint in the matter.
