SWABI: Swabi district nazim Amir Rahman has pressed for cordial ties between courts and lawyers, saying this will put an end to long-standing disputes and ensure justice is served. He shared these views while talking to office-bearers of the Swabi district bar association and senior lawyers at Shah Mansoor Judicial Complex, Swabi on Saturday. “Lawyers always play a key role in strengthening the democratic process and ensuring supremacy of the Constitution,”’ he said. The moot was attended by a large number of senior lawyers. Swabi Bar Association President Latif Afridi and Advocate Arshad Ali also spoke on the occasion. According to Rahman, leaders of the lawyers’ community and his Awami National Party firmly believed in the independence of the judiciary. He drew attention towards the provincial government’s alleged interference in the affairs of the district government.
