Football: Babel to stay at Liverpool
Dalglish revealed that Ryan Babel’s proposed move to German side Hoffenheim had fallen through.
LIVERPOOL:
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish, who succeeded Roy Hodgson, revealed that Ryan Babel’s proposed move to German side Hoffenheim had fallen through.
Last week it appeared Hoffenheim had bagged Babel in a reported £7million deal after Liverpool had given permission for the Dutch international to join them. However, the striker appears to be staying at Anfield, for the time being at least, although if Liverpool manage to prise striker Luis Suarez away from Ajax then Babel could move to the Dutch club as part of the deal. Asked about Babel’s situation Daglish said, “He is staying here.”
