SC registrar murder: IG directed to deliver notices to complainant
The counsel for the convicts said that they had entered Raza’s home with an intention of theft
ISLAMABAD:
A division bench of the Islamabad High Court directed the Inspector General of Police to ensure delivery of notice to the complainant in the murder case of the former additional registrar of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Hammad Amjad Raza.
The counsel for the convicts said that they had entered Raza’s home with an intention of theft and had no intention to kill him.

A division bench of the Islamabad High Court directed the Inspector General of Police to ensure delivery of notice to the complainant in the murder case of the former additional registrar of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Hammad Amjad Raza.
The bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani issued directions while hearing the appeals for commutation of sentences by the convicts.
In May 2007, five men were accused of murdering Raza at his home and in February 2011, they were awarded death sentence by a district and sessions court.
The counsel for the convicts said that they had entered Raza’s home with an intention of theft and had no intention to kill him.
