Honour killing: Two shot dead in Mardan

MARDAN: A man and woman were gunned down in Katlang, Mardan in a suspected case of honour killing. A police official told The Express Tribune that Hunarmand told the police his brothers-in-law Haider Ali and Mukhtar Ali killed Hunarmand’s wife and another man over a suspected affair. “Both of them were killed in a room,” the official said. “Haider and Mukhtar managed to escape after killing the man and woman.” According to the official, a minor girl who was inside the room was also injured.”  However, the woman’s family denied the allegations. The police registered an FIR and started investigation. On March 28, a man gunned down his sister in Palas, Kohistan as he suspected that she was having an affair with someone.
