Uaf Chief: ‘Edible oil production can save $3b’
Talking about water issue, he said that water scarcity was one of the major problems facing the country

University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan has said that self-sufficiency in the production of edible oil can help the country save $3 billion annually. He was talking to a team of the 19th Senior Management Course, National Management College, Lahore that was visiting the UAF and called on Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan here on Monday night. Khan said that the country was importing edible oil worth $3 billion per annum. “Tangible steps are needed to promote cultivation of oil seed crops among the farming community,” he said. Talking about water issue, he said that water scarcity was one of the major problems facing the country.
