Crime scenes: Two gunned down in DI Khan

DI KHAN:

At least two people were killed in separate incidents in DI Khan on Tuesday.

In the first incident, a man was reported to have gunned down his wife within the jurisdiction of Yarak police station.

An official of Yarak police told The Express Tribune, Abdul Manan killed his wife Hajra Bibi at her father’s house “Manan killed Hajra Bibi after his mother’s funeral,” he said.

Shah Jahan, the deceased’s father, registered an FIR with the police in connection with the incident.

“Manan and his colleague Ijaz came to Jahan’s house [after the funeral],” the official said, quoting Jahan. “Manan opened fire on the family. As a result, Hajra Bibi was killed on the spot.”

As per the official, Manan killed his wife because he developed irreconcilable differences with her. “Hajra Bibi was not happy with her husband as well,” the official said. “She had been living in her father’s house for a long time.”

Separately, a man was shot dead in Lonee village of Kulachi tehsil. He has been identified as Roza Din.
