Mob destruction: Metro station yet to be made operational

The commuters have demanded that the station be made operation at the earliest

ISLAMABAD:
Parade Ground station of the metro bus, which was damaged during Mumtaz Qadri protests on March 27, is yet to be made functional.

Though bus was resumed after the protesters called of their sit-in a few days later, the station is still closed. The buses do not stop at the station and commuters have to go to the Shaheed-e-Millat station to board the bus.

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has estimated that restoration work would cost Rs14 million. The authority has started the process to award the contract.
