Addressing problems: Commission organises road show
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Saudi Arabia president Mirza Altaf was also present on the occasion
LAHORE:
The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab organised a road show in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday to sensitise Pakistanis living in the kingdom about the commission’s functions. OPC Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti, Vice Chairman Khalid Shaheen Butt and Additional Director General Ahmad Mubeen addressed the participants. Bhatti said the commission had been actively addressing the problems of overseas Pakistanis. He said the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government had also adopted the OPC Punjab’s model. Shaheen Butt said committees had been set up at district level so that more overseas Pakistan might benefit from it. He said a system had been introduced for online registration of complaints. A question-answer session was part of the road show. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Saudi Arabia president Mirza Altaf was also present on the occasion.
