ISLAMABAD:
A three-day event, Leadthon’16 aiming to equip children with the essential skills needed to become an effective leader is all set to begin next week, April 15.

The networking and leadership conference will include team building activities and sessions to develop a collaborative spirit among all participants. The students will participate in activities that will help them understand and analyze information, critically evaluate it and then utilise it with a problem-solving approach.

It will also include a series of academic and personal growth sessions designed to help children reach their highest potential.

“The idea is, that if you harness all that energy and spirit into positive action in the early years, you have a better chance of helping children become good human beings and true global citizens,” lead coordinator and founder of Edopia Jaweria Sethi explains.

She further states that the conference marks a dramatic departure from the conventional norms of leadership and networking conferences that focus on a much older age bracket. “However, we believe that the early years of a child’s development are the most crucial and impressionable”.

Leadathon’ 16 will be the second instalment of the networking and leadership conference, which will take place between April 15 and 17.

Both schools across Islamabad and private candidates can participate in the conference.
