ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday issued notices to Islamabad chief commissioner and Bhara Kahu senior superintendent police and station house officer in connection with petition of a citizen seeking exclusion of his name from Fourth Schedule.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani issued notices to respondents with directions to submit reply by April 25.

Petitioner Ansar Ali, through his counsel Tariq Muhammad Khan Marwat, approached the court saying that Ali’s name was mistakenly included in the list. The counsel said that name of his client was included in Fourth Schedule on surmises and conjectures.

Marwat said that security agencies had cleared his client of the suspicions but his name was yet to be excluded from the schedule.

The Fourth Schedule is a section of Anti-Terrorism Act under which persons suspected of having terrorist ties are kept under observation.
