He said that procurement centres have been opened in all districts of the province
SUKKUR:
Fair and transparent wheat procurement process is a top priority for the Sindh government and no negligence and unfairness would be tolerated, Sindh Minister for Food Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said. While talking to the media, the minister said that the Sindh government had decided to carve out a fool proof mechanism to ensure complete transparency in all matters. He said that procurement centres have been opened in all districts of the province. He informed that he has already directed officials to ensure fair wheat procurement by omitting their old tradition of favouritism and facilitation to irrelevant persons. There is surplus wheat crop due to a ban on cultivation of paddy, he noted.
