TCP to import urea

The government has planned to import 400,000 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer by June to fill a supply gap for the next sowing season.
As the wheat is harvested, it is time for the rice and cotton crops.
The sowing season begins in June and availablity of fertilizer will be a key factor.
The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) was asked to import the urea to keep supply and demand in balance to ensure price stability in the fertilizer market.
