The administrations of Muzaffargarh and Multan have instructed the Parks and Horticulture Authority to ensure security at parks in the districts.
Muzaffargarh DCO Shaukat Ali said on Tuesday that the administration was going to take strict security measures at all parks, hospitals and public transport stands in the district. He said officials responsible for this would be taken to task for any negligence in providing fool proof security at these places. Security guards will be deployed at these places and surveillance cameras will be installed at main public spots. DPO Malik Awais assured the DCO of complete cooperation by the police and said it was their duty to provide complete security to the public. In Multan, PHA officials have been directed to install barbed wire around Fort Qasim Park. The directives were issued by PHA Admin and Finance Director Chaudhry Anwar during a visit to review security arrangements at various parks in the city on Tuesday.
He said reasonable security arrangements had been made at some of the parks including Gilani Park, Madni Park, Fort Qasim Park, Jinnah Park and Shah Shams Park. He directed the relevant officers to restore electricity lights at Fort Qasim Park as soon as possible.
