Possession: Verdict reserved on Koh-i-Noor plea
He requested the court to direct the government to bring back the diamond
LAHORE:
Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan of Lahore High Court (LHC) reserved his verdict on Monday on the maintainability of a petition seeking directions for the federal government to bring Koh-i-Noor diamond back from Britain. Petitioner Advocate Javed Iqbal Jaffery had submitted that the diamond belonged to the territory that came under Pakistan following the partition of subcontinent. He requested the court to direct the government to bring back the diamond.
