Extortion Threat: BDU defuses bomb in school
Police registered an FIR and started investigation.
PESHAWAR:
An explosive device was defused by the bomb disposal unit at a private educational institute in Garhi Qamardin Sunday night. A device hidden in a pressure cooker was tossed inside the building—which lies in the jurisdiction of Banamarhi police station—by unidentified miscreants, but it failed to explode. Later, the BDU team arrived and defused it. Police said the owner of the school had been receiving constant threats by unidentified individuals and this seemed to be a case of extortion. Police registered an FIR and started investigation.
