He was addressing a public gathering on Canal Road, Muslimabad in Mardan on Sunday. The meeting was held to welcome Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former workers into ANP’s fold.
“Unfortunately, the incumbent government has failed to achieve its promises of bringing change in the province,” he said. “It has also failed to safeguard the rights and interests of the province [on a national level].” According to Hoti, ANP is determined to protect the rights and interests of the province and strengthen the democratic process.
“When ANP was in power in K-P, it took many decisions to fuel development and ensure social welfare,” he said. “We fought the war against militancy and even managed to secure more development projects than what the current government has managed.”
He added ANP contributed towards development in various districts, including Mardan. “The ANP government had established nine universities, 75 colleges and hundreds of schools,” he said. “The people of K-P, who are peace-loving and politically aware, have realised only ANP is sincere and committed to ensure their rights and interests.”
The ANP leader said he was optimistic his party would be voted back into power in the next general elections.
