Jailed abroad: Pakistani missions urged to help prisoners

ISLAMABAD: The federal ombudsman has directed Pakistani missions to provide legal support to Pakistani prisoners detained in different countries and submit compliance report to the secretariat on a monthly basis. The Ombudsman’s Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis, Ahsaan Khokar, has directed Pakistani missions to send relevant officials to meet prisoners on a regular basis, provide legal support and submit a compliance report.
