The house of an ex-army officer was robbed within the Sihala police jurisdiction.
Col (retd) Rukhsar Ahmed lodged a complaint stating that three masked robbers made their way into his house and held the inmates hostage. Robbers made away with his car, three laptops, four mobile phones, six wrist watches, cash, jewellery and other valuables all worth over Rs9m.
